Definitions

Us, We, and The Company all refer to Homework Cat.

The Service refers to this site, listeninghomework.com.

A User is anyone who accesses the educational material on this site.

A Paid User is anyone who purchases a paid subscription for this site.

Minimum age

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your province, territory, state, or country, to access The Service. Minors may only use The Service under the supervision of an adult.

Users

This site contains educational resources for English Language Learners. A non-paying User may access any of the free content on this site. We may limit your access if it is deemed that you are using too much of the site's bandwidth.

Paid Users

A Paid User has access to all educational content on this site. Upon creating an account, your name and email address will be stored in our database. We will not share this information with anyone. We may limit your access to content if it is deemed that you are using too much of the site's bandwidth.

Content

This website contains text, audio, and images pertaining to a variety of topics, including nature, lifestyle choices, health, travel, and more. These topics are discussed solely for the purpose of exposing Users to a variety of English vocabulary. Users will not hold Homework Cat responsible for any negative outcome resulting from decisions made that were influenced by the content on this site.

All audio and text content are the intellectual property of Homework Cat. Picture content is a mix of legally licensed third-party resources and original content. You may not download or redistribute content from this site.

Subscriptions

Billing: Subscription fees are recurring payments. Your subscription begins upon payment of the first installment of subscription fees. The subscription renews at the specified interval as applicable upon the payment of automatically recurring subscription fees. Monthly or annual fees are charged on the same day of the month that the subscription began.

Cancellations and Refunds: You can cancel your suscription at any time. If you purchase a subscription that automatically renews, you may cancel the subscription any time before the end of the current billing period, and the cancellation will take effect immediately.

To the extent permitted by the applicable law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for any partial membership periods. To cancel your subscription, go to the "account" page, and click the "Stripe" button. You will be redirected to a page where you can cancel your subscription. If you have any difficulty, please contact [email protected] and we will help you to cancel.

Lapsed Payment: If payment for a subscription fails, the User will be granted a 14-day grace period to update their payment source. If a successful payment is not made within 14 days, the subscription will be fully canceled, and the account will be scheduled for deletion.

Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall Homework Cat be held liable for any loss or damage caused by your use of The Service. We take every precaution to secure your data, and use a reliable provider, Google Cloud Platform, for Database, Storage, and Authentication services; however, in the unlikely event of a data breach or malfunction, you won't hold us responsible for lost, leaked, or corrupted data.

AI training

To the extent permitted by the applicable law, use of this site for training of AI models is strictly prohibited. This site is intended for human use only.

Google Cloud Platform Acceptable Use Policy

Homework Cat makes use of database and authentication services provided by Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In compliance with the Google Cloud Platform Acceptable Use Policy, all Users are prohibited from using this platform and the associated Google Cloud services:

  • to violate, or encourage the violation of, the legal rights of others;
  • to engage in, promote or encourage illegal activity, including child sexual exploitation, child abuse, or terrorism or violence that can cause death, serious harm, or injury to individuals or groups of individuals;
  • for any unlawful, invasive, infringing, defamatory or fraudulent purpose including Non-consensual Explicit Imagery (NCEI), violating intellectual property rights of others, phishing, or creating a pyramid scheme;
  • to distribute viruses, worms, Trojan horses, corrupted files, hoaxes, or other items of a destructive or deceptive nature;
  • to gain unauthorized access to, disrupt, or impair the use of GCP Services, or the equipment used to provide GCP Services, by customers, authorized resellers, or other authorized users;
  • to disable, interfere with or circumvent any aspect of GCP Services, Software, or the equipment used to provide GCP Services;
  • to generate, distribute, publish or facilitate unsolicited mass email, promotions, advertisements, or other solicitations (“spam”); or
  • to use GCP Services, or any interfaces provided with GCP Services, to access any other Google product or service in a manner that violates the terms of service of such other Google product or service.
